You arrive on Christmas Eve to mulled wine, before settling into a three-course dinner, with carols threaded through the evening.

On Christmas Day expect a long lunch that doesn’t feel rushed. A thoughtful gift. A film as the afternoon fades into the evening. A relaxed supper later on, when the day has softened.

Boxing Day shifts things outward again. Falconry on the lawn. Archery if you feel like it. Fresh air, good food, and time to let it all land before you leave.

New Year at Hyll

Some endings are overthought.

This one isn’t.

A one-night stay that marks the turn of the year with just the right amount of ceremony. You arrive to a drink, ease into the evening, and sit down to dinner before things gather outside. Fire eaters on the lawn, music building, and a DJ taking the night forward.

The following day is slower by design. A long brunch, and a final stretch of time to gather your thoughts before the year properly begins, followed by one last dinner before departure.

A clear ending to the year.
